Phew, well B-koz called round today and we recorded and produced a track in two and half hours and christ-what a complete banger if I say so myself. I took the instrumental from a track that me, rob and tugboat wrote during our recent album a day attempt and B-koz dropped considerable english all over that shit. The guys got incredible potential and best of luck to him in his interview for music technology in Derry tomorrow.
Hopefully I can get this track out to youse in some form soon, cause as we all know, listening to music is alot more fun than reading about it.

What will happen?.
Fuck knows.

Update

So yeah, no time like the present for a quick look at all the goings-on in Shindig...

Super Eight Kids: Following the pretty big success of the Super Eight Kids' debut Staish the Shape of the Juck With the Yock last summer, myself + Dano went back to the drawing board this summer. We put the finishing touches to the more simply-titled Sequel just a few weeks ago. It's a bit of a departure, and to be honest we're pretty happy with where we're going. Some live events are in the pipeline.
Meanwhile, as Dano was saying, we've now got our man Rob on board for further mind-expanding adventures in sound, and our first bit of work last week was an (admittedly poor) effort at making a whole album in a day. We didn't upload them on the album-a-day site but we'll hopefully get the 3 resulting songs up here soon, along with a few from the new album as well...

Beesley: Another summer, another name change for Oddie Knocky (guitars, vocals), Messy Angelo (guitars, vocals), myself (bass, vocals) and Dano (drums, vocals). The single of Bitch! (I Still Want My Money Back) was recently unleashed on an unsuspecting - some would say uncaring - public, with tip-top remixes from the rest of the Shindig stable. A planned tour of Ireland never quite got past the "hey, that's a great idea!" stage, but we did partake in a number of gigs in the Letterkenny area, and word on the street indicates some hot live action going down at NUI Galway in September. Eyes peeled, y'all. And again, expect MP3s lickety-split...

Messy Angelo: The man whose sole aim is often simply to "hurt the listener" is doing his best again this summer, with an ear-splitting remix of the afore-mentioned Beesley tune distressing those in need of comfort, and a whole goddamn solo album (accompanied by an out-takes record!) on the way. His appearance also seems to be getting more ragged by the day.

B-Koz: After dropping rhymes on the first Super Eight Kids album last summer, a planned collaboration with DJ Dano was in the works for this year, but fresh shit is, as yet, unforthcoming. He is tinkering away by himself in the meantime. He plays us his shit at regular intervals, and is known to freestyle at the drop of a hat. The man's got rhymes coming out his eyeballs.

Tugboat Willy: I made a wee single myself earlier in the year called I Am Bored and since then I've been dicking about with loads of rubbish. Mainly it's been Super Eight Kids all summer though.

Kick Acid: That cheeky virus on DJ Dano's computer is up to no good again, recently garbling the words of Paul McCartney to shocking and/or hilarious effect, as part of a remix of Beesley's Bitch!
Meanwhile, a ten minute mini-album entitled Digital Bell-End Unintentionally Stops Traffic is full of sounds and beats and may sometime be released for the pleasure of the listening public.

Other Shindig artists are doing fuck-all.

Thran

Fans of the fantastic brain that is Robert T. Whoriskey will be excited and/or aroused that he has once again picked up his six stringed axe to drop english with myself and tugboat last week on an attempt to create an entire album over a 24 hour time frame.
We failed.
However, What we managed to produce out of these now legendary sessions was three tree-mendous new tracks.Kinda acid loungy and folkish and even a return to our original hip hop roots, the new tracks again show us getting bored of what we usually do and bascially fuggerin around.
Oh and Robert now officially joined the band.
woo.

shindig representing

not that anyone will view this in time ,
but shindig veteran and able bodied musician messy angelo will take to the wheels of steel (or rubbish compact disk playing mixers) for a dj set that will consist of most likely fantastic music such as shoegazing pop, electro indietronic, shoegazing hip hop, avant post bee bop boom bap tomtuggary and every thing in between (did i mention the shoegazing?).
he starts at a haon o' clock at the very mportant peoples room in the fubar- so get your cheap booze in while you can before the bum rush.
